A regular community census that tells us a bit about who each community is, and how we are changing over the years. The goal is to generate valuable datasets about our community that can be used by and for ourselves, while also providing a new opportunity to engage in shared governance of that data as a resource. This census serves as a shared baseline to compare against in future distributed experiments deployed in these spaces.

Data collection

Using our custom built modular surveys, the social science observatory has created a census comprised of modules ranging from personal (personality, values & beliefs) to more political (attitude to authority, communalism/individualism, capacity for self governance and much more.
